At Sea
Hi Oh Bit of Heaven;
If ever my attempts seem short (2) two pages, blame in on the censor. They have those rules and such.
The favorite melody “I’ll Walk Alone” is coming via the radio. Announcer started the program with, “Evenin Sack-rats etc---.” Original to say the very least. If I were with you now probably say sweeter things than that. How I burn to burn. Familiar isn’t it?
Since I didn’t come aboard with any close friends, have became rather friendly with the Senior Eng.. S.M. He joined the Navy at 16 and is only half thru his first hitch. Smarter than hell and very competant. A good volley-ball player too. We didn’t win the ships championship, but sure should have. His aspiration is to become an English “Bobby” and he definately build for the job. 6’2”, blond, very nice talking and looking, well mannered. If we ever venture that direction we could fix him up with one of your coolies--
