Vim, Vigor, and Vitality

Writer: Letters HomeLetters Home

Hi Oh lovely one;

Did I ever mention my love for thee? Tis true, will demonstrate at some future date, with all the pent up vim, vigor and vitality. What am I saying; the body contains none of those, just the mind heart. Am tired hon, these watches wear and tear on old King Love. Haven’t been so sleepy since the short ferry trip from you.

The picture I like more and more, my Gawd but you look sophisticated (no connection), but doesn’t Muscles always say, “Yea, this is the place where all the debutramps hang out.”) The radio is playing something sweet that sounds like, “Let the rest of the world go by.” Is that a waltz? Speaking of waltzes, I have in mind a dance this evening. Miss Wylie, would it be possible to wear a formal and attend the dance at 2000 this even. T’will be held at the Olympia (?) bowl, veddy veddy and all that, you know. Tis nice to dream, twould be much nicer to personally convey my thoughts to you. Hey beetle, must commend thee for fine picking of knives. They are very nice, but if you deprived anyone of them, please extend my deepest sympathies and also my heartiest thanks. You do so many nice things sweetheart, that, well tis always hard to just keep say

thankee kindly and all that rot. Maybe if you desire something tangible, could be possibly bought borrowed or stolded. Speaking of stuff, guess too much went north in the sea-bag. Had to buy dungarees and whites, for this stint of duty. (Really didn’t have to, just did so to please a few people. MAA’s Capt., Exec and all others representing the iron-hand.--with his little pistolia, the gendarme marched him away to the local bastile. Touching scene, what. Sometimes I reread these monstrosities and wonder how such things get entered.

---Then I’ll say, “Get me a coke-high, the paper, throw more fool in the fireplace, fix the radio and knock me a kiss.” (Post-war plans)

Love,

Kenny Lee
